Mom time!

My mom came to visit for Cesar Chavez Day!

I tried on wedding dresses (sorry, can't publish those pics!) and we visited the Brazilian Room. Unfortunately, the cherry blossoms won't be blooming in February, but they sure are pretty.

Breakfast at La Note with mom & Kathy.

Then we stopped off at the Farmer's Market for some Blue Bottle coffee.

Kathy brought me this bride Barbie (thanks, Gretchen!!), who seemed like a perfect partner for James Brown.

Sukiyaki night with Mom, Kathy, Jeff, Manisha, Andrew & David!

Tak's sukiyaki. Super delicious, as always!
And we had a quintet of desserts! (Plus this sparkler candle, which I LOVED.)
Then we bid mom & Kathy farewell until next time.

A couple of other things that have happened:
We dyed Easter eggs!
Highlights:

Tak made homemade ravioli and pesto. Sooo goooood.

Allie & Zack Take The Bay

Allie and Zack came to visit! Obviously, fun times ensued.

We took a Cal campus tour to kick off the trip.

View from the architecture building

Sather Gate

Celebratory cake on ... that's right, our seashell plates!

We did a Napa tour in honor of boozy Sunday/funday. Our friend at Charles Krug was excited to see us (and pose for this photo).

Zack's next album cover.

Antique barrels at Clos Pegase.

I really wanted to get this paint brush and palate cheese plate. Maybe next time.

Lunch at Gott's Roadside (with a precious mini wine bottle)

Classing it up at Artesa

We missed the rain!

Finale at Domaine Carneros. Cheers!

We switched to beer on Monday for a visit to the Trappist.

We also checked out Tilden Regional Park and this view of the bay.

Allie and Zack made us an awesome dinner of squash soup and smoked gouda grilled cheese! MMM...

And we went to the Fillmore to see Of Montreal!!

Thanks, Scott & Sandy! It was amazing.

Brewery tour at Hangar One in Alameda.

"Whiskey Town"

This is the actual shark from Deep Blue Sea. No joke.

Tak found a new way to wear his dog tag slash look like a Kardashian.

Allie and I busted out a little cat's cradle with our dog tags. Cup and saucer!

Eiffel tower!

Thai Temple!

Tak and I tried to pose with my noodle soup.

Finally, we went on another Tilden adventure before Allie & Zack flew back to CO.

Grand finale.
