(Seattle, not the Devon Sawa movie)
We saw this cute cupcake shop on our first Seattle outing. Sadly, it was closed.
We walked over to the Space Needle our first evening in town, but it was closed too. Seattle does not like to party, apparently.
This fish lamp was in a restaurant window that we passed by. Coincidentally, we also ate at this restaurant the next day. We are going to make one of these some day.
Lunch at Von's (where they have quite a collection of liquor).
This is the Seattle Public Library. It was maybe my favorite thing we saw in Seattle. If I lived there, I would hang out at this library all the time.

I was really into these green escalators. This one led to the reading room.
I think this was the reference desk. The screen behind the desk was really cool & showed all the genres in little moving boxes. Neato!
They had one floor that was completely red, floor to ceiling. It had meeting rooms and a computer lab and maybe a theater. It was sweet.

We took a walk around Lake Union and were surprised by the lack of lakeside restaurants. But if you're ever in the market for a new Yacht, this is the place to go.
Seattle by night
Top of the Space Needle: Night timeWe drove back to Cali the next morning (13 hrs, but who's counting?). On the way home we passed Mount Shasta. I'm disappointed that we didn't take any pictures (we were on a mission to get home), because it was BEAUTIFUL. Expect photos from a future trip there soon.
